Traveling south then west beginning at Shippen Street in Kerrtown.
Shippen Street: No parking. From US Rt 322, take PA Rt 102 north, go 6/10 of a mile, right on Shippen Street, trail begins at the end of the street.
On trail it is 1 mile to Bean’s Trailhead.
Bean’s Trailhead: From Meadville, Rt. 322 W, in 1/2 mile parking on left before Home Depot.
From I-79 exit 147A Rt. 322 E, in 1 mile parking on right after Home Depot.
On trail it is 3 miles to Mercer Pike Trailhead.
Mercer Pike Trailhead: From I-79 exit 147A Rt. 322 E, right at Sheetz on Kennedy Hill Road, go 1/4 mile, left on Mercer Pike, parking on right in 2 miles.
On trail it is 2 miles to Krider Road Trailhead.
Krider Road Trailhead: From US Rt 19, take Krider Road east, parking on right in 1/4 mile.
On trail, turn south 1/2 mile before Krider Road and it is 1 mile to Johnson Road.
Johnson Road parking: Very limited spaces. From US Rt 19, take Bailey Road west, go 1/2 mile, left on Johnson Road, parking on left in 3/4 mile.
On trail it is 1 mile to Bailey Road Trailhead.
Bailey Road Trailhead: From US Rt 19, take Bailey Road west, parking on left in 1 1/4 miles.
On trail it is 2 miles to Brown Hill Road Trailhead.
Brown Hill Road Trailhead: From West Vernon Road in Vernon Township, turn south on Brown Hill (McMichael) Road, parking on the left in 1/4 mile.
On trail it is 3 miles to Conneaut Lake Trailhead.
Conneaut Lake Trailhead: From Rt. 322 turn south at Conneaut Cellars Winery 12005 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake, PA. Parking is a short distance straight ahead past the winery.
Currently, this is the western end of Ernst Trail.
